NHHC New Year’s Day Midwatch Poetry Contest

Since 2021, the Naval History & Heritage Command has sponsored a contest for best New Year’s Day Midwatch poem written aboard ship. The contest promoted the writing of poems that had become uncommon during the 2000-teens. The winners for each of the respective years are linked below.
